// vanta agent · schedule

Describe it once. It runs on schedule.

Schedule turns a sentence into a recurring routine — “summarize my inbox every morning at 8”. You confirm the parsed schedule in plain language, then choose its autonomy: read-only, ask-first, or an explicit allowlist for unattended writes. Routines run on their own, on a cron-style schedule, within the guardrails you set.

§ 01

A sentence becomes a schedule

Write the routine the way you'd ask for it. Vanta parses the cadence and shows it back in plain language for you to confirm — nothing is created until you approve the schedule it understood.

schedule
summarize my inbox every weekday at 8am
parsed weekdays · 08:00 · your timezone
uses gmail (read) · memory
confirm → created
§ 02

Autonomy is opt-in

Each routine carries a write-consent posture you set up front: read-only, ask-before-writing, or a narrow allowlist for actions it may take unattended. Read-only web is allowed for unattended runs; anything that changes the world stays gated until you say otherwise.

Note

The autonomous-write path is the one place the UI turns amber — the brand's supervisor-tone caution, never decoration.
